Clay County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, authorize or arrange a release, post a bond, or retrieve official booking records. Please use the official office that holds the record or has authority over the person in custody.
Where to Look for Clay County Information
For a county booking record, the first official contact is the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and its Records Division. Sheriff Sidney “Kirk” Horton’s office is at 215 W. Gilbert Street, Henrietta, TX 76365, and the public phone number is 940-538-5611. Records requests may be sent to ClayCountyORR@co.clay.tx.us or delivered to the same address. Posted hours are weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed noon to 1:00 p.m. and on county holidays. Fax requests are not accepted.
The Sheriff Public Information Request page and its request form are the formal route for an existing jail face sheet or booking photograph. The county states that a response may take up to 10 business days. Fees may apply, but no verified photo-specific amount is published, so ask the Records Division for a current estimate.
- For a person who may be in the Clay County Jail now, begin with the official Clay COSO Kologik public jail roster. It is a current-custody tool, not a complete archive.
- For an existing booking record or photo not shown on the roster, use the Sheriff’s public-information request route and identify the person and any known booking or control number.
- For the result of a county-court matter, contact the Clay County Clerk. For district-court matters, use the Clay County District Clerk; justice-court questions belong with the Justice Court.
- For a warrant-related question, ask the Sheriff’s Office or the relevant court what information it can release. The site’s Most Wanted page explains the documented local route.
- For a person in Texas state custody rather than the county jail, use the official Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate information service.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, as applicable.
Texas Public Information Act requests under Government Code Chapter 552 seek existing records from the official custodian. Court outcomes are held by the appropriate clerk or justice court and should not be treated as a generic sheriff public-information request. A booking entry is an accusation, not proof of guilt.
